About Experimental:
Wings of Change is a meditation on evolution, experimentation, and material shifts—both in process and in identity. The series traces a lineage of women in states of becoming, where transformation unfolds quietly rather than dramatically. These works do not seek to erase the past, but to inhabit it, reimagine it, and allow it to move forward.
Through ongoing experimentation with materials and form, the work mirrors the layered nature of change itself. Traditional approaches give way to unexpected surfaces and found elements, creating a dialogue between what is held and what is released. Each piece carries traces of what came before, honoring continuity while allowing space for reinvention.
This series embraces transformation as an act of quiet power. Like wings forming before flight, change here is subtle, patient, and resolute. It is found in accumulation rather than rupture—in gestures, textures, and moments where memory and possibility coexist. Wings of Change is ultimately about becoming: how women carry history within their bodies and choices, and how evolution emerges not from disappearance, but from deep presence.

Artist's Bio:
Rebecca Bennett is a contemporary abstract oil painter originally from New Jersey, with a dynamic body of work that has captivated audiences across the country. Bennett’s paintings are characterized by their vibrant colors, soft brushstrokes, and layered application that create a sense of depth and movement. Bennett’s lifelong passion for art began in her childhood, and she has been studying and refining her craft ever since. She has lived in several different states across the country, which has allowed her to experience and draw inspiration from a diverse range of landscapes and cultures.After settling in Austin, Texas over 25 years ago, Bennett’s artistic career began to flourish. She began exhibiting her work in galleries and art shows throughout the country, and quickly developed a following for her striking and original style. Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the United States and abroad. Today, Bennett continues to create stunning and thought-provoking works of art from her studio in Austin, Texas. Her dedication to her craft and her unique artistic vision have cemented her place as a talented and respected artist in the contemporary art world.

Using the sensual qualities of oil, Rebecca Bennett creates layered abstractions that explore the dynamics of color, line, and texture. The viewers are encouraged by the abstraction to interpret their experience of the work rather than the work itself. Rebecca's work plays with the abstracted modern landscape, often incorporating a strong horizon line.
